Yembera presents
Fly an Su-27 over the mighty Himalayan terrain
A free multiplayer combat flight simulator, with volumetric clouds, a working cockpit and the region at real scale.
Free. Version 0.8.1 Alpha, for Windows, macOS and Linux.

What you fly
FlightOut is made by Yembera in Kashmir. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and it is in alpha: new builds come out often.

The mighty Himalayan terrain, at real scale
High Himalayan valleys, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Aksai Chin, about 800 by 690 km, from 30 m satellite elevation and land cover. Real airfields with lit runways, approach lights and PAPI, and Earth's curvature to the horizon.

An Su-27 you can feel
A physics flight model with fly-by-wire, AoA and G limits you can switch off for the Cobra, and a jet built at real scale in Blender with every surface, gear leg, slat and canopy hinge animated.

A cockpit that works
Instruments, warning lights, a collimated HUD, rear-view mirrors and an ILS for the practice approach. The pilot greys out under G and the head moves with the jet.

Clouds you fly through
Volumetric cumulus, broken, overcast, fog and rain at varied heights, sunlit and self-shadowed, casting shadows on the ground, the trees and your jet.

Fly together
Up to 16 pilots a server, with netcode built the way military simulators do it: other jets move smoothly and predictably, even in close formation. Join the official server at play.flightout.app or host your own.

Day, night and weather
Any time of day with the sun and moon where they should be over the Himalayas, from noon glare to a starlit night, plus wind, turbulence and rain.

The film
First Light: the long cut
Almost three minutes of the same flight, held long: the scramble at dawn, the ambush from the ground with the missile seen from launch to the flares, two kills from start to finish, Mach 1 and home at last light.
Ready when you are
